Each tool is introduced through a project, so you learn what it does and when to use it.
Learn how to take a software idea from a written specification to a deployed application. You will practise the same sequence across multiple projects, including planning, context setup, implementation, testing, debugging and release.
Build and deploy applications throughout the course. Your work progresses from a simple web app to a database-backed product, an AI assistant, a mobile app, a SaaS product and your own capstone.
Review your work with experienced professionals in one-to-one sessions. Use their feedback to find problems, explain your decisions and improve the next version.
Using tools taught in the course, our CEO Lukas built an internal Notion alternative in around 30 hours. It migrated 660 pages and replaced Turing College's $5,040 annual Notion subscription. The replacement costs $356 a year to run. Lukas had prior technical experience.
Co-created with AI and software professionals, this course combines five sprints and 33 topics of hands-on practice, spread over 3.5 to 4.5 months at around 12 hours a week.
Learn to direct AI coding agents, give them useful project context and manage your work with Git and GitHub. Set up your development environment, build your first web applications with Next.js and deploy a document management app.
Create reusable workflows with Claude Code skills and plugins. Connect your applications to Supabase, add user authentication, debug problems with an AI agent and deploy a full-stack application with a live database.
Coordinate subagents and agent teams, connect applications to AI models and give agents access to external tools through MCP. Use Playwright to test application behaviour, then build and deploy an AI personal assistant with memory and connected tools.
Build applications with security, compliance and data access in mind. Create a mobile app with Expo, connect external services and build a SaaS product with Stripe payments, subscription management and an admin dashboard.
Plan, build, test and deploy an AI-powered application of your own design. Present the finished product through a live demonstration and leave with an application you can continue developing after the course.
This course is built and updated by people who use AI coding agents, develop AI products and lead software teams. They review the curriculum as the tools change, so you learn current ways to plan, build, test and deploy software with AI.

Turn your knowledge of a business problem into a working product. You will learn a structured process for directing AI coding agents, building full-stack applications and taking them live.
Use these skills to create internal tools, test a product idea or build software for your own business. You will complete projects throughout the course and receive personal feedback from Senior Team Leads.
Online learning is tough when you're left on your own. That's why we built Intra, our learning platform that combines the best of both worlds: human support and smart structure. We've also built adaptive AI features that personalise your learning even further - so your journey adjusts closely to your pace, needs, and progress.
Our application process has two simple steps designed to help you and our team understand whether the program is the right next step for you.

Learn to build software by directing AI agents
Building with AI Agents is a beginner-level online course for professionals who want to turn an idea into working software. You will direct AI coding agents in plain English while learning how to plan a build, give useful context, check the output and take an application live.
Across five sprints, you will build full-stack web applications, connect databases and user authentication, add AI features, create a mobile app and set up a software product with payments. You will finish by designing, building and presenting an AI-powered application of your own.
The course is designed for professionals who want a reliable process for building and shipping software with AI coding agents. Prior coding experience is not required.
You decide what to build. The agent helps execute it.
AI coding agents can inspect a project, change files, run commands and tests, and work through a sequence of development tasks. The person directing the agent still makes the product decisions, supplies context and checks whether the result works as intended.
In June 2026, Anthropic published research based on roughly 400,000 Claude Code sessions ↗ recorded between October 2025 and April 2026. In a typical session, people made most of the planning decisions while Claude made most of the execution decisions. The research also found that people across major occupations completed coding tasks at close to the average success rate of software engineers, while relevant domain expertise improved the likelihood of success.
The 2025 DORA State of AI-assisted Software Development report ↗ reached a related conclusion for software teams: AI tends to amplify the strengths and weaknesses of the system around it. Better results depend on clear workflows, sound development practices and appropriate technical safeguards, not access to an AI tool alone.
This course teaches the workflow around the agent. You will learn how to plan, provide context, test, debug, review and deploy, so a quick prototype can become software you can explain and improve.
No prior coding experience is required. Claude Code is the main AI coding agent used throughout the programme.
You will work with real software projects, codebases and development tools rather than a closed visual no-code platform. AI coding agents handle most of the code implementation while you direct the work and review the results.
The course introduces technical concepts when you need them. You should be comfortable learning digital tools, checking results and working through problems when an application does not behave as expected.
AI coding agents can help you create internal tools, customer-facing web applications, mobile apps, document assistants and subscription products. You direct the product decisions and check whether the finished application works as intended.
See how our CEO rebuilt an internal tool in seven days
Turing College CEO Lukas Kaminskis set himself seven days to build an internal alternative to Notion for our 35-person team.
Using Claude Code, Lovable and Supabase, he built the application in around 30 hours. It migrated 660 pages, more than 10,000 content blocks and 300 images from Notion. Two-thirds of the team moved to the new tool on its first day, allowing us to cancel a Notion subscription costing $5,040 per year.
The project also showed where human judgement still matters. Lukas had to define the requirements, choose the right agent for each task, test the migration, fix interface problems and check that permissions and backups worked properly.
Lukas had previous technical experience, so this is an example of the tools and process in practice rather than a typical beginner timeline.
It usually takes 3.5 to 4.5 months and is designed to fit around full-time work. You should plan for 12 focused learning hours each week.
The Germany-funded course runs for 3 months on a fixed schedule of 30 hours per week. It should be treated as full-time study and will not fit around a full-time job.
You will receive one Turing College certificate for Building with AI Agents after completing the required core programme. The global certificate records 200 hours. The Germany-funded certificate records 520 hours. The certificate lists the programme parts you have completed when it is issued. The global capstone is not required for the core certificate.
We would rather you choose the right programme than enrol in the wrong one.

The main difference is what you want to create and how much coding experience you already have. Building with AI Agents teaches you to direct coding agents to create software. AI Engineering teaches experienced programmers to build LLM applications in code. AI for Business focuses on using AI and automation.
